The Alt-Falkenstein Castle was probably built around 1100 by the Klus family. Today it houses a local history museum, which is open from April to October. There you can explore an exciting collection of archaeology, weapons, home decor and industrial history from the Thal Nature Park. From the castle you can enjoy a great view.

Cool trail descent. Especially the trail section "Roggen Challenge" has it all. Unfortunately, the trail behind the castle is forbidden. Alternatively, you can "circumnavigate" the forbidden trail above the house behind the castle.

In the Klus to Mümliswil, it is worth taking a look up to the imposing Neu Falkenstein castle ruins.

This castle is in an exceptionally good position to look at the castle from the Blümlismatt (signpost on the ridge).

Worth seeing, very large ruin with several fireplaces. The ascent there is unfortunately not so well maintained (August 21) and leads among other things. through a nettle field.
