You hike along the coast of Sweden's and the EU's largest lake, Lake Vänern. Here you can observe thousands of Canada geese in late summer/early fall.

The scenery is very scenic and the ride is very pleasant (gravel bike). There are several options for camping overnight along the route, some even with shelters. Since most of the route runs along the river, there are frequent streams flowing down from the mountains, and the river is easily accessible. Therefore, water supplies are easily accessible.

Norra Hyn is the village on Lake Södra Hyn, described in the previous tip. The place is completely unspectacular, and the marker here was placed on the banks of the Klarälven River. A magnificent river, but not the most beautiful spot so close to the busy road.

Gravel roads in a holiday home area. The holiday homes are loosely scattered and the gravel roads are subject to tolls for vehicles. This seems to be a winter holiday area. In July 2024 everything was deserted and you could cycle here quite relaxed. But be careful: I couldn't find any water anywhere!

Shelter occupied by wasps

A lovely bench with a barbecue by the water in an enchanting place. We didn't have coal or meat with us, but otherwise we could have lit the grill!

Enough space for tents or you can lie down in the hut. Toilet, benches and a place to swim. It's on the road, but it's quiet at night.
