The countless stairs, footbridges and bridges lead you through the Galterengraben (La vallée du Gottéron) along the Galterenbach (Galtera = Gottéron) from Tafers to the lower town of Freiburg/Fribourg. In the lower town (old town) the Galterenbach ends where it meets the Saane. It is also a hike from German-speaking Switzerland to the predominantly French-speaking city of Freiburg (Fribourg 😉).
