Whether the body of water is truly a reservoir or more like an Alsatian carp pond, I cannot and will not judge – the location at the very back of the Lützeltal valley and the beautiful nature all around is wonderful nonetheless.

The Lützel river is dammed here, and there are a few benches on the dam that invite you to take a break.

Beautiful pond on the edge of the forest. Many paths lead through the woods, enough to make a nice little outing from Vendlincourt.

While the prosperous times in the town of Lucelle are over, the Lac de Lucelle is a nature reserve that captivates with its peace, idyll and beauty. The lake can be easily walked around on a well-developed nature trail, and there are many benches where you can watch the ducks and fish in the lake.

Lac Vert in Haute-Sorne is a small artificial lake located in the Jura mountains, formed by the Sorne river. It is surrounded by forests and pastures, and offers a beautiful emerald color due to the reflection of the trees. You can enjoy the scenery and the refreshing water of the lake, or continue to the Pichoux gorges for a longer hike. Lac Vert in Haute-Sorne is an ideal destination for trail runners who want to discover the Jura region.

Lake Lucelle is the smallest in Switzerland and is located in a protected natural area near the French border. The trail around the lake is a comfortable and mostly flat 2km loop, with only 30m of elevation gain and loss. You can enjoy the view of the sparkling water, colorful vegetation and secluded houses on the other side of the lake. Whether you want to run fast or slow, Lake Lucelle offers a delightful experience for trail runners of all levels.

A lovely rest area by a pond (Etang). It's truly one of the highlights of the tour.
