The Creux de Terre near Yverdon-les-Bains is an impressive karst sinkhole and also a significant nature reserve. The basin was formed by geological processes in which limestone sank, forming a funnel-shaped basin. Today, the area is home to moist meadows, ponds, small forests, and rich biodiversity. Amphibians such as frogs, toads, and newts find ideal living conditions here. Numerous bird species also breed or rest in the reserve. Walking trails with information panels lead through the basin and explain its geology, flora, and fauna. The Creux de Terre is easily accessible from nearby Yverdon.

Camp Pittet is the ideal place to immerse yourself in protected nature. There are two options (apart from the fact that there are also guided tours). Either you go along the paths on your own and climb the viewing platform, or you go to the center, including the exhibition and more, and can then immerse yourself in nature - without having to cross the main street (pedestrian tunnel). The last variant has the advantage that you can also visit the observation station when you enter (code-secured). Beautiful sandy beach with campsite.

Quiet bike connection between the towns of Concise and Bevaix. It rolls comfortably through small towns above Lake Neuchâtel. Asphalt is of good quality.

Above Lake Neuchâtel there is a vantage point on a Jura cliff with a great view of the moorland and the lake.

Beautiful large sandy beach. Playground and restaurant at the Menthue campsite in the East. Out of season, accessible by bike (be careful of the sand in the cogs). A Mediterranean atmosphere separates the beach from the road. View towards the North along the length of Lake Neuchâtel.

The bike path on the north side is really good and interesting to ride. The villages were very sleepy on Saturday around 1pm when I was there. If you need water -> there are lots of fountains.
