A small footbridge leads us from one side to the other. It's lovely to stop on the footbridge and watch the flowing water.

I drove past first. I didn't regret my return trip! A beautiful little lake, Aaschächli, hidden and quiet. A little idyll. Unfortunately, I was there at dusk, so I couldn't see much, but I could still see and, more importantly, hear the birds landing on the water, seeking nighttime shelter. A perfect place to unwind. The "valley" is about 100m deep and has a size of about 72 hectares. Because of its steep, wooded flanks, the valley in the Tafeljura is also known as the small "Grand Canyon" of the Baselbiet. Nature lovers in particular get their money's worth in the "valley", because in addition to the natural vegetation, the many waterfalls and beautiful ponds, the nature reserve is home to many rare animals and plants of the region.
