The tower stands on the foundation of the keep of Randenburg Castle, of which only a few remnants are still visible above ground. The view from the tower is breathtaking! There are now several information panels about the castle. The moat is also still clearly visible. On the other side of the moat, there is a large rest area which appears to be well-maintained and popular during the season.

The 40-foot-high tower, originally made of wood in 1872, collapsed in 1894 and was replaced by an iron tower in 1909 in the ruins of the Schleitheim Randenburg. Today it stands 896 m above sea level.

Wonderful view of the volcanic cones of the Hegau. The hut was locked. There is a small barbecue area and a few seats with a table. The area is relatively small. The hiking trail and mountain bike trail lead right past.

Unfortunately closed therefore no toilet open but great barbecue area and children's playground

From the Randenturm you have a great view of the Black Forest (Feldberg), the Hegau and the Swiss mountains.

Beautiful view of the volcanic cones and the city of Singen. Definitely worth it if there is good visibility.
