In about 2.5 hours you can take a wonderful hike from the zoo along the Kobold Trail to Aspisee. I have rarely walked through such a pretty forest. In many places you feel like you are in a fairytale book. Lots of moss, special trees and wonderful winding paths. After a rainy day you run the risk of getting wet feet on some sections of the route ;-)

The apothecary's hut A shelter for the loggers in bad weather. The apothecary's hut is called the apothecary's hut because the Holzer looked for protection there in storms and warmed and strengthened themselves with high-proof alcohol, i.e. with MEDIZIN. Euphemism. And because there is medicine in the pharmacy and also in this hut it is called Apothekerhütte. Of course the Holzers don't do that anymore ;-).

Beautiful, cozy forest hut with a barbecue area in the Muniberg forest on the Längstuckiweg. I don't know why the hut is called Apotheker-Hütte.

Nice forest hut on the way to Lindentower Gütsch. The forest house has a covered barbecue area as well as a fountain with fresh running water. Ideal place for a small party.

One of the umpteen forest houses in the Boowald. Formerly primarily intended as a shelter for forest workers, today it invites you to small parties in the forest. In contrast to some others, this is very well maintained.

Nice, big, quiet forest clearing. A quiet place in the middle of Längwald between Bannwil and Niederbipp. At the edge of the forest clearing, there is even a small forest hut with barbecue area. A great place if you are looking for peace. At dawn and dusk you can often observe grazing deer.

Here at Aspisee, it is certainly more comfortable in the warmer seasons than now when it is frozen. You can relax at the barbecue with sausage and bread. So to all bikers, please ride through this place with respect and consideration, because there are children, er, fathers, playing here too :-)
