The Tungelschuss waterfall plunges roaring water from the Tungelbach stream over several cascades into the depths – particularly spectacular after snowmelt. The viewing point on the western shore of Lake Lauenen, about 400m from the parking lot, offers a clear view of the waterfall – often accompanied by a loud roar. 🥾 Hike & Access Access: From the parking lot at Lake Lauenen, a well-marked hiking trail takes about 5–10 minutes to the observation point. The Turrian Bridge is one of the last remaining suspension bridges. Built in 1883, it still withstands the passage of pedestrians and cyclists. With every step, it challenges your sense of balance.

The Turrian Bridge is the oldest suspension bridge in French-speaking Switzerland. It was built in 1883 and crosses the Sarine. It is a historical and cultural monument which offers a dizzying view of the forest, the waterfall and the gorges. The bridge is accessible on foot from the village of Château-d'Oex, which is also a popular destination for hot air balloon flights. The bridge is part of a 6.2 km loop that takes you to the Ramaclé waterfall and the Gérignoz gorges.
