The Egelsee in Bern, also known as Egelmösli, is a small lake in the southeast of the city. It lies at an altitude of 549 meters above sea level and is fed by the Wysslochbach. The lake has an area of about 1.52 hectares and is surrounded by a picturesque park that extends to the Paul Klee Center.

The Moossee offers numerous recreational opportunities such as swimming, fishing, boating and hiking. The well-developed hiking and cycling trails around the lake are particularly popular. There is also a lido and several barbecue areas that invite you to linger. The rich flora and fauna around the Moossee also makes it an interesting destination for nature observation.

The Hurst Biotope was created by the aquarium association in the late 1960s and has been maintained ever since. Located in the middle of a wooded area, the nearby highway is only noticeable by the sound of passing cars. All kinds of creatures frolic in the ponds, and the surfaces are partially covered with water lilies. Further information can be obtained by scanning QR codes. The Egelsee. A small natural oasis that is hidden in the middle of the district. No tourist gets lost here. Is actually only visited by residents of the neighborhood. A wonderful place to soak up some nature, to let your thoughts wander, to find yourself. Definitely enjoy in peace.

Beautiful frog pond, well laid out, invites you to linger. Directly on the cycle path with seating.

Depending on the season: frog concert, watching tadpoles, (gray) herons, water lilies. Or trainspotting and autobahn listening 😉
