One of the few ski slopes in Greece is located near the village of Anilio, close to Metsovo. It features a ski lift, a toboggan run for children, a supermarket, a café, and a restaurant. There's also a huge parking lot and a small, artificial, heart-shaped lake. A three-day music festival is held there in August. The owner is a 75-year-old triathlete named Kosta, wiry with white hair and a white beard.

From up here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Delphi and the vast coastal landscape as far as the Gulf of Corinth - a panorama that lets you feel the vastness and tranquility of the Greek mountains. The serpentine roads wind through the mountains and lead into a sea of olive groves that stretch to the horizon. From there you can get to the island of Ioannena with small boats. Here is also the Museum of Ali Pasha and Revolutionary Period.
