A very impressive construction feat. That wasn't all that long ago, so until 1974 you really had to walk up these wonderful stairs to the next village if you wanted to visit? Admirable. We were also very impressed by this tour, great views and barely visible from the other side, these stairs built into the mountain.

The path from the plateau becomes narrower and you suddenly find yourself in a narrow rocky alley. It is a foretaste before you step out into the steep Vīkos Gorge, which is nowhere as visible as from the Belōi viewpoints. This rocky passage in front of you makes it even more exciting - nature has arranged it magnificently.

The staircase stretches over 1100 steps and overcomes a height difference of around 250 metres, including 39 narrow curves. Until the 1970s, this staircase was the only way to and from Vradēto; the current road connection was not completed until 1974.

In addition to the impressive staircase, the view of the rocky flanks, the Mesariā Gorge and the Gradhīsta mountain range is also extremely impressive.

After the climb out of the breathtaking Vīkos Gorge, here comes the next eye-opener: the view of the elongated massif with its crenellated front, which stretches from the Astrāka peak over the peaks of Kalōgeros and Plāka to Psarovōtano from northeast to southwest.

In warm temperatures you can easily refresh yourself in the Vikos River in some places.
