Hole-in-the-Wall is a small but unique natural waterfall. The waterfall gets its name from a literal hole in the wall, creating a “keyhole” effect that’s especially exciting after rain or during spring runoff. Mossy rock walls, ferns, and dense coastal forest surround this waterfall.

Nymph Falls is a popular waterfall on the Puntledge River. The water cascades downstream below Comox Lake. Most of the Puntledge River's water is diverted above the falls for hydroelectric power generation, so the river's volume decreases during the summer months. Access to Nymph Falls Nature Park is via Forbidden Plateau Road. The number of sites in the forest parking lot is limited. Mystic Beach is located approximately 2 km from the parking lot near West Coast Road. The walk takes about 1 hour. The sandy beach is mostly covered with pebbles; tree trunks have been washed ashore as flotsam. Numerous basalt boulders lie along the western part of the beach. In the eastern part, a waterfall cascades over the cliff directly onto the beach. Floodwaters and storms erode and undermine the cliffs.

I didn't see the old car. Maybe it's no longer there. But the hike is worth it. Don't forget your hiking poles if you're not quite so young.

Can get quite busy at times. Best in the morning or afternoon / evening, and during the week. Depending on which way you chose to get here, the walk through the ravine is spectacular.

Great in the late morning light. Wonderful place to come to and take in the surroundings.
