Starting from the lower park elevations northeast of Spokane, you'll face a sustained ascent for the main climb of approximately 7-9 miles, gaining around 2,600-3,000 ft to reach the 5,880 ft summit and its historic Vista House. Prepare for a challenging effort with a steep average gradient of around 7-8%, featuring relentless sections pushing 10% or more, especially on the upper mountain.
