A beautiful gravel road runs along the dam. Coming from the village of Avdou, you can drive to the dam. After the first gate, you have to turn right into the olive groves, otherwise you will find yourself in front of locked gates. It's best to just plan in Komoot and I can't say for sure whether the road will be passable BEFORE October. You'd better find out more here.

It's rather depressing here. The surroundings are really beautiful with paths through the olive groves, but the reservoir really has nothing attractive about it, and the abandoned ruins are probably not even suitable as a lost place. It's better to head for other destinations in the area.

An artificial lake serves as a water supply. Swimming is not possible. However, there is a circular path and lovely places to relax. You can also observe numerous water birds.

In contrast to the large artificial lake, this one is of natural origin. In May 2024 it dried up, a result of the dry winter. In September 2022 there was water in it and a sea eagle lived there.

The smallest reservoir I have ever seen.

Parking is practically right in front of the lake. There are lots of fish in it but you can't go swimming. A cute tavern makes up for it.
