아스콜리 피체노‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪6‬개의 호수

아레나 폭포는 로카플루비오네 지역에서 가장 아름다운 자연 명소 중 하나입니다. 방문객들에게는 10미터 이상의 높이에서 두 개의 가파른 바위 절벽 사이로 떨어지는 모습으로 나타납니다. 트론토 강의 주요 지류 중 하나인 플루비오네 강이 폭포를 공급합니다.

Lake Castel Trosino is located in Ascoli Piceno in the medieval town of the same name, full of panoramic points and historical-naturalistic assets, such as the large Lombard necropolis with 34 tombs, rich in precious manufactures made of glass, gold and silver. The lake is formed by the damming of the Castellano stream, a right tributary of the Tronto river. Downstream of the dam it is possible to see the confluence of the river inside the Roman aqueduct that brought water to Ascoli, while upstream of the lake are the famous sulphurous water springs (salmacina), already known by the Romans, some of which are still visible despite the presence of the lake and can be reached thanks to the cycle/pedestrian path created for this purpose. Furthermore, along the lake, there is a park where you can go hiking and mountain biking. Adults and children can also observe the animals that live in this environment, such as herons and fish, thanks to the observation point on the side of the lake. The Sentina Nature Reserve, from the mouth of the Tronto River to the north, is a green oasis in which marine ecosystems coexist, such as sand dunes, brackish areas and a remarkable variety of birds. The cycle/pedestrian path runs along a dirt path, with access points to the pristine beach.

The La Valle Oasis is located along the Tronto cycle path. The area is made up of ponds and at the end of the path there is a restored farmhouse for educational and teaching activities. A museum of ancient crafts has also been established. Various animal species can be admired along the path and in the ponds (turtles, carp, nutria, horses, heron, etc).

This nature reserve, of approximately 180 hectares, was founded in 2004 and is the smallest protected area in the Marche region. It extends along the coast for 1.7 kilometers and, being a combination of land, river and lake areas, it creates a perfect wetland of great importance for migratory birds. It is in fact the only stopping point between the Po delta and the Gargano.

Magnificent waterfall over ten meters high along the Fluvione stream. Its leap is spectacular and can be admired from the stone bridge adjacent to the old Pignoloni mill. Before the waterfall, the stream forms a small lake with very shallow and calm waters where it is possible to find relief from the summer heat.
