Always open easy road for the entire route with some dirt sections.

5.6 km circular tour with ascent and descent, I recommend not doing it in very hot periods.

The Gole del Salinello are located in Abruzzo, within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The Salinello river has created a deep gorge between the Twin Mountains.

The Grotta di Sant'Angelo, in the heart of the Montagna dei Fiori, is one of the most interesting rock cavities of the Italian prehistory of the Monti della Laga. The hermitage cave opens at the beginning of the path that leads to the Salinello gorges.

The gullies are hills characterized by very accentuated forms of erosion. These erosions have formed a very characteristic hilly landscape, which can be easily visited a few kilometers from Atri, in the province of Teramo.

We were there in July. The route is sunny, I recommend less hot times of the day. There is a drinking fountain in the picnic area before the trailhead but it was out of water. Still a wonderful place
