When you're on the Hærvejen route near Nørre Snede, the Nørre Snede Shelter and Fire Pit is a great overnight visit that offers a simple, but authentic, place to rest and spend the night. You'll find a basic wooden shelter for protection from the elements and a fire pit where you can cook a warm meal or simply enjoy the crackling flames under the stars. It's a fantastic example of the many primitive camping options available to hikers in Denmark.

Next to the shelters there are places for campfires, barbecues, etc. You can't stand upright in the huts, but they seem perfect for slipping in and lying in. Closed to the west and open to the fire and mountain. Looks like someone really put a lot of thought and effort into it!

In front of each entrance to the huts there is a ship's rope twisted into a spiral shape...You have to have ideas.

Ideal spot to spend the night with the Shelters next door and thus enjoy the port in the early hours of sunrise.
