Beautiful panoramic views over the moor from the observation tower. The first mezzanine level is even wheelchair accessible. Please note: ⚠️ In winter, the climb was frozen and very slippery.

The Japanese Garden of Kadriorg Park opened on July 31, 2011. The garden's designer, Masao Sone, is from Kyoto and learned garden design from his father, who was a gardener. The area of Kadriorg's northeastern pond, with its covered cliff slope, boulder field, large trees, pond, and waterfall, provided an excellent source of inspiration. The garden, like any living organism, continues to evolve and change over time, and there is always a reason to return.

A highlight of the boardwalk trail is this observation tower. It's ideal for panoramic views of the entire moor or for observing wildlife when things are less busy. It's also a great spot for photographing the Northern Lights. In winter, you just have to be careful; the climb was icy and therefore very slippery.

Viru bog has one of the most accessible bog trails in Estonia. It leads through the forest and bog landscapes typical of Lahemaa and is 3.5 km long, the length of the entire circular trail over the footbridges and back through the forest is 6 km. The educational trail introduces bog plants, former sand dunes, ose and heather forests. A boardwalk leads through the bog and there is a lookout tower halfway along the trail. There are markings and signposts on the trail. Good to know: The boardwalk leading to the lookout tower is also suitable for wheelchair users and strollers. The first lookout platform of the tower is also accessible for people with disabilities!

Kadriorg Park is the most outstanding palace and city park in Estonia, covering an area of around 70 hectares. Its construction began in 1718 on the orders of the Russian Tsar Peter I. Elements of park design from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries can be seen here.

Šnelli Park, also known as Toompark, is a beautiful, quiet and well-kept park in the city. In the park, it is hard to believe that you are only a few blocks away from the bustling city of Tallinn. Good place for running or just walking. The pond in Šnelli Park is, by the way, the only part of the moat that once surrounded the city that has been preserved to this day.

The old limestone quarry site in Rummu has its own, rough charm. Located right on the lake, it forms a fascinating backdrop of turquoise water and white, rugged limestone mountains. The ruins of the former prison partially emerge from the clear water and are reminiscent of the history of the place, giving the landscape a special, almost surreal atmosphere. When you are out and about here, you will feel that Rummu is not only a popular bathing and diving spot, but also a place where nature and the past merge in an extraordinary way. The disused buildings and abandoned watchtowers are no longer accessible, but offer interesting photo opportunities and leave plenty of room for your own discoveries. The entrance fee is not exactly cheap, especially if you want to explore both the prison grounds and the lake. Unfortunately, access from the prison to the lake is temporarily closed, which somewhat restricts freedom of movement. There is a small sandy beach on the lake shore, which invites you to cool off on warm days. Be aware, however, that the bottom drops suddenly under the water. Divers and snorkelers can enjoy a fascinating underwater world with sunken structures. However, if you prefer to stay on land, you should be careful on the rocky paths around the break. Rummu is not a typical hiking destination, but that is precisely what makes it exciting. It is a place that demands more than just the usual sights - you have to be prepared to find your own route and get involved in the idiosyncratic atmosphere.
