The birdwatching hut on the Brunssummerheide is a sheltered observation area in the heart of the nature reserve, specially designed to observe birds and other animals in their natural habitat without disturbing them. From the hut, you have views of heathlands, fens, and forest edges, making it an excellent spot for birdwatchers, photographers, and nature lovers. Due to the recent fire in parts of the heathland, the hut now also offers views of recovering and partially charred areas, creating a unique, sometimes dramatic, sight. The combination of tranquility, nature, and the opportunity to observe hidden life makes the birdwatching hut an atmospheric and educational destination in the Brunssummerheide.

Beautiful hiking area. Rightly a national park!

The birdwatching hut is located next to the walking path on a height. Ideal for birdwatching, except in the summer because the lush vegetation around it obstructs the view. From the information board in the hut you can learn a lot about birds.
