One of the most beautiful, richest, and best-maintained parks in Lithuania. It was established in the territory of the sacred Birutė forest and was called Birutė Park by local residents for a long time. The author of the park plan project is the famous French architect Edouard François André (1840–1911), who, together with his son René Edouard André (1867–1942), spent several summers in Palanga and supervised the park’s establishment. Once you start walking along the shore, you will have to walk a long way, as in most places there are steep banks that are forbidden to climb.

From up here, across the forest, you have a great view of the Salzhaff with the spruce forest in front of it.

This wonderful hiking trail on the Curonian Lagoon between Perwelka and Preila is an absolute highlight. You walk between forest and water, across beautiful meadows. There are great views everywhere and the flora is enchanting.
