From the summit cross and the rest area you have a beautiful view of the village of Dolno Sonje below and the surrounding mountains

Breathtaking views over Skopje and the Shar Planina and Solunska Glava mountains await. From here, the marked hiking trail descends into the Matka Gorge. The descent is very steep, rocky, and strenuous in parts. However, there are no exposed sections. Caution: In the warmer months, cows apparently graze in the meadows around Kale. I could hear them through their bells and walked past them at a distance.

At the beginning, it's not really a hiking trail, but rather a service road. But the closer you get to the Kale peak, the more beautiful the trail becomes. You hike across a beautiful mountain meadow to the summit and can enjoy the view. Especially in spring, the meadows are still beautifully green, and the flowers are in bloom.

Cable car was closed for a long time due to Corona but is now running again. From here a nice hike to the Matka Canyon is signposted.
