Between 1921 and 1932, the park was redesigned by Joze Plečnik. Plečnik designed the wide Jakopič Promenade, which ends at the staircase in front of Tivoli Palace (home of the International Centre for Graphic Arts). Today, the promenade is also known for photography exhibitions.

The entire Tivoli Park area is highly recommended for nice, relaxed walking in beautiful nature. If you leave the garden-like flat parts and turn uphill (to Šišenski hrib or Rožnik), you will find yourself in the woods and feel like you are far away from any urban area.
