It's definitely worth going the route. (Between the two caves - on the way) Attention ⚠: there are snakes here! Today we had seen an Aesculapian snake (non-poisonous) but also a adder (poisonous). Pay attention a little.

From kamzavikend.si : Veternica Cave is the most famous natural attraction of Velika Planina. It consists of the Mala and Velika Veternica caves, which were formed during weathering when their ceiling collapsed, resulting in the formation of two sinkholes. Velika Veternica is better visited, and its specialty is patches of snow, which can be found in the cave even in the summer months, which is why shepherds sometimes used it to cool and store food. The sinkhole is about 50 meters deep and a 10 meter long underground cave begins at its bottom. Access is free and there are steps to the bottom of the sinkhole and due to snow and ice proper gear is recommended even in the summer months.

Gigantic cave entrance, a huge gorge in the middle of the forest in front of a rock face! Depending on the version, you can "explore" a lot. It's very muddy even in the extreme heat, so sturdy shoes and good flashlights. It's very cold in the cave. Heading down to the left as you enter, you'll come down a few narrow, slippery passageways to a "room" with a ladder. Climb up this (caution muddy) and after a while there follows an exit (marked in Komoot: Vranja Jama 2nd Exit) with a stable rope. Only the way back we are via deer crossing, since the trail was probably overlooked. You can drive almost to it (at the entrance), only a car and a camper were there. Not a soul, no entry, pure nature! Highly recommended!

Great place and wonderful hike from Laze through the meadows full of flowers!

A beautiful path in nature, with many sights: an underground cave (Taborska - Župnaova jama), an old church with walls (Tabor Cerovo) and the Vodomčev gaj (Kingfishers Grove) nature park. Definitely worth a visit, but you have different variants of the route, which are also suitable for children. Maybe you also meet a bear :-)

Marvelous underground world, 610 m long circular tourist trail, 500 steps, 1 hour guided tour. In cave is temperature always 10°C. Really worth seeing.
