Varberg Fortress is located at the port of the city of Varberg in the province of Hallands län. It was only slightly destroyed in modern times and can therefore be viewed almost true to the original. There is a youth hostel, restaurants and the cultural history museum on the site.

Tjolöholm Castle is located near Kungsbacka in Sweden on the Kungsbackafjord. The present castle was built in Tudor style between 1898 and 1904 to plans by architect Lars Israel Wahlman. Around the castle there is a castle park, which is criss-crossed by hiking trails and extends to the Kungsbackafjord.
