Stederau: The Stederau is a river that widens in Bodenteich to form the Parksee. The Parksee is therefore not a barrage basin in the classic sense, but a natural extension of the river. The Ratsteich was originally created by damming an arm of the Ilmenau as part of fortification measures. Today, the Ratsteich is a popular tourist destination: there are restaurants here, you can stroll through the park and relax on the benches. The Ratsteich meadow is also a popular place to play. I particularly liked the water fountain.

Highly recommended campsite - with natural pool, organic shop and restaurant and good infrastructure!!!
