From this point you have a wonderful view of the Züri Unterland. Regensberg with its castle is on the left. Probably around 1040, Freiherr Lütold von Affoltern built the Altburg on a moraine hill near Regensdorf, on what is now the border between the city of Zurich and Regensdorf, not far from the Katzensee. His descendants later called themselves Barons von Regensberg. The Regensbergers experience their heyday at the beginning of the 13th century in north-eastern Switzerland, in what was then Zürichgau. They consolidated their position of power through intensive building of castles, founding of cities and foundation of the monasteries of Fahr and Rüti (Wikipedia).
