It starts with the nature reserve and ends with a stamp at the top. In between, leg strength and balance are required. But I'll never forget this experience.

This path is pretty much left to its own devices. It's not easy to follow. A lot of deadwood also blocks the way. In the upper section, the trees lie in large clumps along the path. Nevertheless, the Steintalweg is worth the hike just for the rocks that rise up to the right, but especially to the left, of the valley.

The cave extends over a length of more than 30 m with varying elevation profiles (3 - 4 m) The deepest point is about 6 m below the cave entrance. Tip: Grippy shoe soles have some advantages here 😉 and don't forget a headlamp.

The Försterhöhle is located about 1 km southeast of Steigerthal in Windehäuser Holz at about 245 m. If you go up the so-called Deep Valley from the Goldbörnchen, a narrow, steep path on the right side of the slope soon leads to the cave entrance located about 20 m above the valley floor.

Rüdingsdorf Switzerland is one of the smallest Switzerland in Germany. There are large and small sinkholes here in many places. Trail running and hiking of a special kind. 👌🏻
