A beautiful hollow path leading from the Liliental valley into the forest to the north. Numerous nesting holes can be seen in the loess walls, but I haven't encountered any bee-eaters in the forest.

Many loess hollow paths have fallen victim to the massive land consolidation in the Kaiserstuhl. The Eichgasse in the east of Bickensohl is one of the few remaining hollow streets and a particularly impressive one. There are other striking hollow alleys around Bickensohl, which can be “experienced” or even better hiked along an excellent themed trail (“Lösshohlwegepfad Bickensohl”)!

A nice, quiet place with seating by the pond, which is actually called Krottenweiher. In 2004, a sedimentation basin was built in the rear part of the pond to collect suspended solids.
