Birdwatching hut De Pluus offers a beautiful view over the unique raised bog landscape of the Engbertsdijksvenen. From here you can spot numerous bird species, such as the crane and the bluethroat, while looking out over vast fens and open heathlands. The peaceful surroundings and rich wildlife make this an ideal place for nature lovers and a perfect starting point for a walk through this protected Natura 2000 area.

This hut is a reconstruction of the border guards' shelter huts.

Small cabin and resting place with history! Inside the hut, the history of Mariënberg and the monastery is described. Outside the hut is the dedication stone from 1514 of a chapel that once stood nearby.
