The geological adventure tour around the sand pit is very nicely laid out and informative

As an angler you can have mixed opinions on this. In normal fishing ponds, the fish grow based on the organisms that arise naturally in the pond. Here, however, the fish are fed until they are the size of the catch and then put into the pond where they are presented to the anglers. How sustainable this is depends on the feed used. Some anglers call this a “trout puff” and reject it. Anyway, if you can fish, there's a chance (even in the salmonid closed season) to catch a few fish (if you're lucky). The fish in the store, especially the smoked ones, are definitely delicious.

Particularly beautiful when the heather is in bloom (approx. 8 August - 9 September).

The sand pit near Oegenbostel is used as a mining area and landfill for various types of rock such as sand.

There are a few stations along the circular route where you can learn about stones.

And a wonderful place to watch the birds in the Hüttenseepark. Here you are well protected from wind and rain and you can even store your bicycles. There is also some information about the bird species on display boards.
