The "Aschauteiche" farm shop with fish sales is located directly on the cycle path just before or just after Eschede. The shop is open every day, which greatly increases the chance of being able to eat a fish sandwich during the tour. Everything is very tasty. Pond farming with tradition. The Aschauteiche pond farm was created in 1906 from agricultural irrigation meadows along the Aschau heath stream. The 86 ha of water surface has always been extensively farmed with a maximum of 30% grain feed, which is why naturally adapted, healthy fish develop. In addition to carp, tench, pike, golden orfe and noble crayfish, a variety of biotope fish such as gudgeons, roach, sticklebacks, bitterlings and pond mussels also live in the ponds.
