As far as I could find, the municipalities of Kettenkamp, Eggermühlen, Berge, and Menslage meet here. The Hekeser Weg is unpaved here and has rough gravel in places.

This refuge is surrounded by fields and forest on the outskirts of Bippen. The view towards the fields is very nice because of the high altitude. Here you can (with a small detour) take a good rest between Berge and Bippen.

Well-tended, beautiful weather shelter with an interactive station on the terra.track Ice Age Discovery Trail, which explains how the sand deposits in the area were created. Very child-friendly 👍
