About 400 m east of the Drachenberg summit lies Königslutter in the unincorporated area at about 305 m above sea level. NHN the Drachenberg transmitter. Its main transmission tower is a 181 m high, guyed tubular steel mast. It is used to distribute radio programs on FM and DAB. Where engaged couples once strolled and Duke Wilhelm was a guest... The Waldhaus zur Asse is one of the oldest inns in the region, its history goes back to the 16th century. After it was granted the right to serve beer in 1731, it became a popular tourist restaurant in 1800. Duke Wilhelm later stopped here on hunting trips, after all, a special room in the house was always prepared for him. Rebuilt in 1834, the inn on the edge of the forest in Wittmar experienced a great boom, especially among lovers: unmarried people could make acquaintances at the traditional marriage market. Afterwards, many a young couple walked along the hornbeam avenue to the Assewald, which is why the cozy arcade is still called the "Love Alley" today. A new opening was actually supposed to take place in March 2022.....

generously designed lawn that invites you to take a break. Of course, the Christmas decorations are not available here all year round. But a really good idea! I'll check back here around Easter. Are there Easter eggs here?
