Nice, small, thatched hut with an information board by the side of the road, which offers shelter in the event of a storm and is also ideal for a rest.

The Fugletarn observation hut is located in the Rickelsbüller Koog and offers a wonderful view of the Rickelsbüller Koogsee. It is located in the middle of the feeder road and is accessible from the German side. At the foot of the dike there is also a small information pavilion that provides information in Danish and German.

The square also has historical significance. The Danish-German border ran here between 1864 and 1920. The place is built on a dike hut (Digehytten), which served as accommodation for the workers in the dike construction project from 1923 onwards. Both aspects are commemorated by a memorial and several plaques on site.

Shelter right next to the bike path, ideal for taking a break sheltered from the wind.
