Since many people continue to arrive in their cars, even though it says everywhere, including in Komoot, that this shouldn't be the case, a far-reaching parking ban has now been issued and a security service is on site all day to check. In addition, police and fire brigade operations have been necessary again and again , because a lot of tourists lit campfires not only at the bivouac site, but also later in the landscape protection area, sometimes directly in the forest. Unfortunately, garbage is often left lying around where there are no garbage containers. The locals wonder why they can't simply take the empty leftover packaging home with them if they bring it with them. In summary, the current status is as follows: - Hikers, cyclists and canoeists are still very welcome - Camping is only possible on the designated site for 1 night - Camping and lighting fires is prohibited further along the meadow - Motorhomes and camping vans are not allowed, it is not a campsite - The toilet installed is cleaned regularly and is clean, so it can be used - The forestry, police and public order offices are now constantly checking with the support of the security service, which is usually present I hope everyone has understood the downside, the locality is looking forward to the insight and to a little better understanding from users in the future. Water, bike or foot hikers can pitch their tent for one night on this spacious place. There are many wooden benches and two large wooden tables, a campfire area and direct access to the Spree. In the evening hours, a private service checks whether only the authorized persons actually use the space. A “supply vehicle” should therefore be parked BEFORE the space in the designated forest car park (approx. Three cars). Caravans and mobile homes are not allowed here.

In order not to drive mainly on/next to roads, from Erkner take the Oberförstereiweg through the forest to Chausseestr. Continue over the Löcknitz, then right through the forest via Kleinwall to Hangelsberg. So the first part is much more relaxing.
