Only a few remnants of the former castle walls remain, but they are quite charming. A variety of different blocks can be easily explored and freely entered. There are many attractive photo opportunities, especially with the expansive landscape of Lenné Park in the background. Peter Joseph Lenné was commissioned to design this 100-hectare park in 1826, made particularly appealing by the small river called Welse. The commission was given by Prince von Redern. The magnificent castle, also built at the beginning of the 19th century, served Count Friedrich Wilhelm von Redern as a summer residence. It was destroyed by fire, but the circumstances of this tragedy remain unclear.

Today the castle is an open-air theater with a view of the old fen landscape.

Imposing castle ruins, the preserved foundation walls give an idea of the original purpose. Apparently it is intended to be used as an open-air stage.

Inconspicuous castle ruins in Lenné Park. Some of the former tiles can still be seen. Interesting facts about it: https://lenne-park-goerlsdorf.de/geschichte

Kröchlendorff Castle was built in 1848 by Prussia's first freelance architect Eduard Knoblauch on behalf of Baron Oskar von Arnim. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park. The first gardens were laid out around 1700 and were expanded and redesigned in the course of building the castle according to the ideas of the landscape designer Peter Joseph Lenné. Adapted from Lenné Park, the architect Knoblauch designed the castle in the English Gothic style. He mainly used tracery rosettes in the windows, Tudor arches, a crenellated wreath and other Gothic decorative elements. Above the entrance is the von Arnim and von Bismarck family coat of arms. A banner below the coat of arms bears the year 1848. This coat of arms is also based on a design by Knoblauch. The current appearance of the castle is determined by the squat tower domes, the large window openings and the flat-looking facade. The Kröchlendorff Castle Church was built between 1864 and 1868 according to plans by Ferdinand von Arnim and was then used as an Evangelical Reformed church. The members of the von Arnim family buried in the crypt, including Malwine von Arnim (1827–1908), Otto von Bismarck's sister, were reburied in the neighboring cemetery after the family was expropriated in 1950. The last service took place in 1961 and the church was de-dedicated in 1968. During a long period of neglect and decay in the church, the neo-Gothic furnishings were destroyed, with the exception of the remains of the pulpit. In 1992, the political community of Gollmitz, now Nordwestuckermark, took over the building. Between 1993 and 2002 the church was restored and inaugurated as a communication and cultural center. Since then, it has served, among other things, as an event room and an exhibition building. It is also used for civil weddings and occasionally for church services of the Evangelical Church of Potzlow-Lindenhagen in the Uckermark parish of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia.[2] It shows the forms of the French High Gothic, the Rayonnant style, which were unusual for the German Neo-Gothic of the mid-19th century. The entire structure stands on a crypt with flat ridge vaults, the floor plan of which is similar to that of the church. The walls with plastered blocks are structured by buttresses. The money is probably missing here. The roof is new and at least the ruin is dry. Still nice to look at. A highlight.

Greiffenberg Castle is the ruin of a hilltop castle on a hill in the Welsetal on the northern edge of the Greiffenberg district of the city of Angermünde. The small fort-like castle was built in 1224. In 1261 the castle was mentioned as "civitas Grifenberg" with a hospital as the ancestral seat of the von Greiffenberg family. Ownership was confirmed in 1349 by the Duke of Pomerania and in 1354 the castle once again belonged to the Mark Brandenburg, was conquered by the Pomeranians in 1426 and belonged again to the Mark Brandenburg in 1446. From 1473 to 1803 the castle was owned by the von Sparr family. In the meantime, the castle suffered destruction during the Thirty Years' War. From 1850 the castle was owned by the Counts of Redern. The square castle complex made of brick on an artificially raised hill still shows the 12 meter high stump of the three-storey round keep on a floor area of 9 by 9 meters with a wall thickness of 1.4 meters, remains of an oversized gateway and the fieldstone foundations of the residential buildings and the ring wall as well Wall and ditch remains.
