The Schachtbaude was opened in 1975 on the site of the former Muldenstein open-cast mine. In the style of a mountain hut, it is designed entirely in wood and immediately exudes comfort. In the summer months, meals are also served on the terrace. From inside and outside, guests have a wide view of the Mulde reservoir. The restaurant is dedicated to Dutch and German cuisine. As the name suggests, the speciality here is Pannenkoek in a wide variety of variations. The Schachtbaude "Pannenkoek" is the ideal place to take a culinary break after a hike or bike ride in the Dübener Heide.

The food is good and it's not expensive - it's also the last place you'll find a toilet before you get to either Wörlitz or Oranienbaum.

Story The name Leiner Berg (Glyner Berg) as well as the Leiner See derive from a desert village or a ministerial castle Glin (Lords of Glyn 1237–1335). Traces of this original settlement were found during forestry work as early as 1900. To the north and east of Lake Leiner and the Löbben, once a popular excursion and bathing destination and now just a swamp area, there is a richly structured forest and meadow landscape with centuries-old solitary willows and oaks and many hiking trails. The Leiner Berg is a former dune on the Elbe in the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom[1]. The Leiner Berg forester's house is located on this hill. It was built in 1830 by the grandson of Franz's father, Leopold IV. Today it belongs to the Vockerode district of the town of Oranienbaum-Wörlitz. The building, built in the Swiss style, is located about 3 km east of the Mulde and about 2 km north of the village of Nauendorf (now the Waldersee district of the town of Dessau-Roßlau).
