The FFH area "Dammühleteichgebiet" covers a total area of approx. 221.3 ha a. It is located in the district of Meißen in the communities of Thiendorf, Schönfeld, Lamm- pertswalde and ebersbach. The area extends from the headwaters of the Kaltenbach northeast of the Kaltenbachmühle following the course of the stream via Thiendorf and the Kienmühle up to approx. 2.3 km west of the Dammühleteich. In addition to areas characterized by forest and grassland The area includes several bodies of water: the Kaltenbachteich, the Jentzschteich, the Kienmühlenteich as well as the Heide- and Dammühleteich. Of these, the dam effort takes lenteich with 42 ha the largest area. The FFH area is crossed by the A13 motorway in North-South direction intersected [Source: Natura 2000 working materials]
