I've been there many times as a child, and I keep coming back now. Pure nature! It's very peaceful, you can watch birds... for me, it's one of the most beautiful places in the region.

Good position with a view of the whole lake. You can spot some fishing boats and the odd sailing boat.

From the hiking trail you can see the reservoir, which lies like a mirror in the landscape. Simply beautiful!

Relaxation and tranquility, no motorists, just a bit on the main route

It really does look like walking through the dam on a dam, but that's not entirely true. Coming from Diehsa, the Reichendorf sub-basin is on the left, which actually belongs to the dam. However, the Diehsaer Neuteich is to the right of the path. From this dam one has the opportunity to see the osprey nest on the electricity pylon or the cormorants on the dead trees or the gray and great egrets on the banks and of course many more waterfowl. In the Neuteich there is a seagull island.

The crossing over the dead straight dam wall is a lot of fun because there is always something to discover away from the water, for example the fishing ponds.

Beautiful section on the loop around the lake, especially the view of the bird island. If possible, don't forget your binoculars.
