The Haarweiden Reservoir is a small reservoir in the eastern part of the Dresdner Heide, near Ullersdorf. It was created by damming the Haarweidenbach stream and is now a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. The "Hofewiese" beer garden, lined with large trees, is located next to a horse farm. The buildings belonging to the "Hofewiese" are currently being restored. This was once the foal breeding ground of Augustus the Strong, and hay for the horses was harvested in the stable yard. The construction work will not disrupt beer garden operations. The Hofewiese is always worth a trip. There is a great beer garden in the middle of nature. Regional food and drinks are also offered at a moderate price. There is plenty of space for children to play and run around. Absolutely recommended for walkers, hikers and cyclists.

In winter when there is frost, the reservoir is accessible and a short trip to the reservoir island is possible.
