This valuable wetland habitat for migratory and breeding birds offers excellent living conditions for meadow and reedbed nesters such as marsh harriers, snipe, and water rails. White-tailed eagles, cranes, and black storks also find ample food here. In winter, northern geese and whooper swans use the waters as a roosting site. With a bit of luck, you might also spot otters and beavers, which have resettled in this area.
