Beautiful Lautertal valley with many truly interesting information panels about the history of mining and the town's origins. One of the shortest and most beautiful routes from Suhl to Schmücke. Plenty of rest stops, all in good condition (March '25).

A very quiet corner just before the Erletortalsperre can be reached from the gravel pit via a very nice trail or from Potsdamer Platz

Away from thebridegroom path, a trail takes you to the Schuesslersgrund. This is below Potsdamer Platz. The stream that flows down to the Finsteren Erle also has the same name.
