Once a popular tourist destination, swimming in the pond is now prohibited. This prevents you from fully enjoying the idyllic ambiance.

The Binsfelder Weiher in the Eifel is located near the municipality of Binsfeld. It is part of the "Tongruben bei Binsfeld" nature reserve, which was created by former clay mining. Today the pond offers a valuable habitat for rare animal and plant species.

Beautifully landscaped fishing pond. There is a note on the hut informing guests with a day ticket that they can fish here. See one of the photos! There are two construction site toilets by the side of the road. I assume they belong to the fishing club?

Very idyllically located pond. The facility is obviously maintained with passion. Just enjoy the peace and nature and don't disturb the anglers. Apparently there are occasional parties here too.

Swimming is strictly prohibited in the Kaiserhammer Pond – yet, in good weather, up to 100 recreational enthusiasts frolic in and around the lake. However, swimming in the Kaiserhammer Pond is not only strictly prohibited by law, it is also dangerous to one's health. During heavy rain, additional pollutants are washed into the pond with the surface water. In recent years, salmonella and coliform limits have been exceeded frequently. The police are supporting anglers in their efforts to keep the pond free of swimmers. "But as soon as we put up new prohibition signs, they are torn down and dragged away." Vandals have also damaged the regulation drain, which is protected by iron gratings.
