The Wildenstein Valley is the most beautiful valley on the Donnersberg. In the past, hikers could also hike the back part of the valley to the Kirsch- and Wasserdelle and from there to the Wildensten ruins. Today, there are many obstacles in the way.

This path is definitely a highlight, but it's not for walkers and those who don't know how to behave. But for me it's an adventure every time because it's different every time.

One should no longer commit such paths, even if it is still recommended. So not a highlight for me.

Definitely not recommended for many, the water crossings only for sure-footed people with a head for heights or barefoot with slippery stones....

You should be aware that this path is getting more impassable from year to year and will probably disappear completely at some point. The old path along the Wildenstein stream is no longer officially maintained. But for me it is one of the highlights. If you are not put off by fallen trees and partially washed away paths, you will experience a wildly romantic climb to the Wildenstein ruins.

Beautiful wide hiking trail at the Falkensteiner Felsenschlucht. If you are a bit more experienced, you can also hike directly on the rocks on a narrow path. Here the path also leads through a crevice in the rocks.
