Campsite, restaurant and bathing lake in the beautiful Palatinate Forest, ideal place for a long or short break.

From 1936 to the early 1960s there was an idyllic bathing area with a non-swimmer area, a children's pool and a swimmer's area with a diving board. "When road traffic to Schmalenberg increased, a dam was built between the water basin and the lawns in the adjacent Rübental and the new Schmalenberger Straße was built there. The direct connection between the water basin and the sunbathing area was thus interrupted. The bath was no longer accepted by the population. At the beginning of the 1960s, people stopped swimming there. [...] Today the old bathing pond is used for fish farming and as a biotope (former children's pool)."
