The Harzbornhaus is no longer a highlight, as it is permanently closed. Looters have already been at work on one building. However, the parking lot by the house is a good starting point for hikes.

A somewhat secluded and hidden PWV hut with moderate prices, delicious cakes, and good home-cooked food. Highly recommended!

The Naturfreundehaus “Harzbornhaus” is a nice starting point for hikes. The lush nature begins right behind the house. A rustic gorge of the desert Aschbach begins here.

If this house has a tenant again, it is an ideal resting place on a longer tour around Zweibrücken.

A very nice hiking hut of the PWV. It is slightly above Niederauerbach and can also be reached by car. The whole area is lovingly cared for by the club members. It is well suited for drinking, eating or sleeping.
