In front of the shelter there is also a small rest area with a table, weather permitting.

The small hut on the "Bürger-Steig" (Citizens' Trail) in Meisenheim was built in 1906 by the then-beautification association. The name refers to the originally very light, almost white birch wood from which it was built; it is said to lie like a swan on the path. Numerous lovers probably met here—their names were carved into the wood inside.

There is also a picnic table and a signpost very close to the hut. From here you have a beautiful view of the fields. Depending on the weather, you can rest in the hut or outside.

Easily accessible on foot and by car. Last opened on Pentecost. Barbecue area, clean open toilets, curling in winter, riding area. A highlight for many.
