Great railway cycle path, great to ride!

From Brockel, the cycle path that was built in the 1980s on the old railway line goes via Bretel to Wittorf. From Wittorf, you can reach Visselhövede directly via the cycle path on the B440. There is a brand new connection from Sandhasenweg, the inner-city cycle path in Rotenburg, mostly on the old railway line towards Visselhövede, to the brand new Fidi-Boon-Wech via Hemsbünde to Brockel. This is the cycle path on the old railway line Rotenburg - Brockel. All in all, a great connection. Fast and interesting and of course it also works the other way round.

Old sheep barn with resting area inside, the door is not locked, and in front of the barn.

It is well signposted, there are places to sit and rest, and the shelters are also in top condition.

Passing the burial mound from the Neolithic period, hikers reach the 250-year-old Spieker sheep barn, where they take a break at the "table set for yourself!" rest area and see what their backpacks have in store.
