It is an idyllic gem, the Bürgerpark am Alten Rodenberg. Flashback: With the construction of the forest classroom in 1999, the start of the nature adventure trail took place. District forester Andreas Ludewig had brought the idea back from the heath where the first forest classroom had been set up. Thanks to the good cooperation with the Rodenberg primary school, as Hardekopf praises, a cooperation agreement was concluded and joint projects were implemented. This included, among other things, a balancing path financed by the school's development association, new showcases, a tree-top walkway and, to top it all off, the new shelter, which has now become a magnet for visitors. A tree nature trail has also been created along the paths in the Bürgerpark, which features native tree and shrub species.
